Magazine adverts are great ways to promote an artist, a film even an upcoming album or single within the genre in which it is based. For example, Travis Scott may advertise himself in magazines such as billboard, whereas Green Day may advertise themselves in magazines such as NME. Magazine advertising is still standing strong through the rising age of social media, whereas platforms such as radio have fallen off.
Features of a magazine advert
- The artist themself
- The name of the album/single
- Information about the artist
- Album/single release date
- A USP (Unique Selling Point) of the advert; what sells it to the audience and sets it aside from other adverts
- Social Media links
